The Curse of the Dark Pharaoh (Revised Edition)

The Curse of the Dark Pharaoh (Revised Edition) provides updated versions of the components from the original Curse of the Dark Pharaoh expansion for Arkham Horror. It was released in July 2011. It incorporates new cards, card types, and game mechanics, but does not include a new gameboard.

The Curse of the Dark Pharaoh includes the new card types of Exhibit items (which function as a special category of Unique item). And there is a Dark Pharaoh Herald Sheet.

The new Ancient Whispers marker enables a mechanic which creates a moving encounter found in the streets of Arkham. This encounter location has its own encounter deck (Exhibit Encounter Cards) which are a means to both move the Ancient Whispers and to make Exhibit items more readily available to the Investigators.

Encounters can now also leave Investigators with lingering Benefits or Detriments, such as Anointed or Tainted.
