Ehrich Weiss was the actual name of the escape artist and stage magician Harry Houdini. He is arguably also a Mythos character as well, because Lovecraft ghost-wrote Houdini's "autobiographical" horror story Under the Pyramids (1924), as well as several of his anti-spiritualism tracts.
